A provisional hold is placed when a solve starts and released the moment it fails. Only a response with errorId: 0 results in a debit, and the exact amount comes back in the cost field of that response.
Failures are free
A blocked IP, an unsolvable challenge, a timeout — none of them are billed. You pay for tokens you actually received.
Test keys are free
Every account gets a test key that solves a synthetic challenge. Run it in CI on every commit without touching your balance.
Credit does not expire
What you top up stays available. There is no monthly drawdown and no dormancy fee.
Common questions
Do I pay for failed solves?
No. Only a successful solve is charged. If a call returns a non-zero errorId, nothing leaves your balance and any provisional hold is released immediately.
Is there a minimum?
No. You top up a balance and it is drawn down per successful solve. There is no minimum spend and no expiry on credit.
What is the difference between pay-per-1k and a subscription?
Pay-per-1k draws down a balance for each successful solve, so you pay for exactly what you use. A subscription buys unlimited solves of chosen types for a fixed period, priced per concurrent thread rather than per solve — it is cheaper once a thread is busy most of the day, and it makes the bill predictable. You can hold both at once: a subscription covers the types it names, and anything outside it falls back to the balance.

Do I need my own proxy?
For most types, yes: the solve has to originate from the same address you will use the result on, so you supply the proxy. The exceptions are Cloudflare Turnstile, which takes no proxy field at all, and ReCaptchaMobileDirect, which mints from our own address — both run proxyless by design.
Is there a free trial?
